Community Projects

Members of the Club assist in collecting money for the annual Red Shield Appeal.
The Red Shield Appeal is one of Australia’s most respected charity events. Every year, members of the Club assist the local Salvation Army with door knocking. Monies raised assists the Salvos with their much needed community work.
The Rotary Club of Umina Beach, in partnership with the Australian Red Cross, proudly funds a valuable First Aid education program for Year 5 and Year 6 students. Through hands-on learning activities, students gain practical skills such as CPR, basic first aid, and emergency response techniques. This engaging program helps build confidence, responsibility, and community awareness, empowering young people to assist others in times of need. By equipping students with these life-saving skills, we are investing in safer schools, stronger communities, and future community leaders.
Each year, the Rotary Club of Umina Beach conducts a Blanket Drive to support individuals and families experiencing hardship during the colder months. Through the generous donations of our community, we collect new blankets and warm bedding which are distributed to local charities and support services. This important initiative helps provide comfort, warmth, and dignity to those most in need. By working together, we can make a meaningful difference and ensure vulnerable members of our community are not left out in the cold.
